Unit/Department High Acuity Float Pool. What units are included in the float pool? Critical Care Unit, Observation, Med Surg, General Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry and, Progressive

Patient Ratios: standard AACN CCU staffing. Assignments are 1-2, depending on acuity. You may have 1-3 if the acuity of the assignment is lower, and or they have transfer orders.

BLS and ACLS required.
