ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Puyallup, WA 98372 (Washington healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Level III Trauma Center, Nursing Float Pool
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: February 14, 2026
• Duration: 15 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1880–$2020

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Washington RN license preferred for local candidates)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, ventilator management, invasive line management, ostomy care, general drains, and tracheostomy care
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Ability to float to various hospital units within scope of practice
• First-time travel nurses welcome

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care to ICU and float pool patients
• Manage patient assignments based on acuity (ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, Med Surg 1:5)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists
• Perform and document hourly rounding, bedside reporting, and patient education
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies for medication administration, safety, and infection control
• Assist with patient transport and provide support in the Emergency Department holding unit as needed
• Promote a positive work environment and contribute to a culture of teamwork and customer service
• Complete required orientation and competency assessments for travel nursing jobs
