ICU RN Job Details – Petoskey, Michigan

• Location: Petoskey, MI 49770 – Experience lakeside living, vibrant downtown, and year-round outdoor recreation in northern Michigan.
• Healthcare Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with a cardiovascular focus
• Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: February 2, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1740 - $1860 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (ICU float experience not considered)
• Proficient in EKG interpretation
• Ability to float to similar critical care units as needed
• Preferred: Experience in Neuro ICU, CVICU, Trauma, ventilator management, CRRT, and balloon pump operation
• Completion of ICU skills checklist within the past year

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to advanced treatments
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Assist with advanced cardiovascular procedures: PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers
• Care for post-open heart surgery patients and those with congestive heart failure
• Support national clinical trials and research initiatives within the ICU
• Maintain strict attendance and punctuality to ensure continuity of patient care
• Float to similar critical care units as required
