ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Peoria, Illinois 61605
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/10/2025 – End: 1/9/2026)
• Nursing Shift: 12 hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend & Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or proof of application
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Experience with PEG tube care/feedings, CVC/PICC/Midline usage, and tracheostomy care
• Proficient in caring for sedated and ventilated patients, titrating vasopressors, sedation, and pain control drips
• Ability to read telemetry strips and operate Phillips telemetry monitors
• Must pass comprehensive drug screening (OSF is a Drug-Free Campus)

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in an 8-bed ICU
• Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2-3
• Administer and titrate critical care drips (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Lasix, Insulin, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levophed, Dopamine, Cardizem, and more)
• Perform wound care, IV antibiotics administration, and post-surgical care
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Float to Med-Surg unit as needed
• Document patient care using Epic EMR
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
