**Job Title: Medical ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - 12-Hour Night Shift**

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-hour night shift position. The successful candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and be comfortable working in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU.
- Ensure accurate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor vital signs and manage complex patient care needs.
- Provide education and support to patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
- Be adaptable to changing environments and patient needs.

**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in a Medical ICU setting is required.
- Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
- Charge nurse experience is a plus.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
- Teaching hospital experience is highly desirable.
- Must comply with COVID-19 and flu vaccination requirements or provide a valid declination.

**Schedule:**
This position requires a commitment to 12-hour night shifts. Start dates occur every other Monday, with all credentialing to be submitted one week prior to the start date. All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved before acceptance.

**Additional Requirements:**
- Attendance and punctuality are crucial for team effectiveness.
- Floating to other units may be required based on census needs; floating will be prioritized for travelers.
