ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Fergus Falls, MN 56537 (Minnesota travel nursing jobs)
• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 5-bed acute care setting
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (October 10, 2025 – January 9, 2026)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (primarily nights, some days, every 3rd weekend)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2070–$2220
• Charting Systems: Paragon-Hospital, Allscripts Touch Works

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Minnesota RN license or willingness to obtain)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC
• Ability to float to Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) unit as needed
• Proficiency with ICU drips (Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol, Versed, Vasopressors) and ventilator management (Hamilton C-1)

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a 5-bed ICU
• Maintain a patient ratio of 2:1 for optimal patient care
• Monitor and administer medications, including complex intravenous drips
• Collaborate with hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacy staff
• Respond to medical emergencies and care for stroke, STEMI, non-STEMI, and other acute conditions
• Accurately document patient care using Paragon and Allscripts EHR systems
• Participate in orientation (1-2 shifts) and work every 3rd weekend and scheduled holidays
