• Location: Chicago, IL 60631 (Illinois nursing jobs)
• Unit: 30-bed SICU/MICU/Neuro ICU
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/15/2025 – End: 12/14/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required

ICU RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nursys verification required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• Clinical experience with open heart (CABG), neuro, and CRRT patients
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Ability to float to other critical care units as needed
• Compliance with all onboarding requirements (drug screening, immunizations, background check, skills checklist, etc.)

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver expert care to high-acuity ICU patients, including post-op CABG, neuro, and CRRT cases
• Monitor and manage complex patient conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve outstanding patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
• Float to other critical care units as required by census
• Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and compliance standards
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
