Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ED)

Location: Washington, DC 20037
Contract Duration : 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift (3x12s)

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the bedside trauma RN in the trauma room.
• Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5.
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to diverse patient populations.
• Perform critical care tasks such as:
  • Medication titrations
  • Mass transfusion protocols
  • Arterial line management
  • Chest tube care
• Utilize Cerner electronic medical records system for documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• License: Active and unrestricted RN license in the District of Columbia.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Room RN experience.
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Education: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.

• BSN – Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
