Position Overview:

MVHS Inc. is hiring experienced Emergency Room RNs for a fast-paced, high-acuity ED serving patients across all age groups—from newborns to geriatrics. The ideal candidate will be flexible, highly skilled in trauma and critical care, and capable of floating within the hospital. Charge capability is highly preferred.

Certifications Required:

• Active New York RN License (verified via NURSYS)
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• NIHSS
• TNCC

Experience Required:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
• Pediatric experience required
• Previous travel RN experience strongly preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred

Submission Requirements:

• Up-to-date resume with relevant ED experience
• 2 recent Charge/Manager ED RN references
• Skills checklist for Emergency Nursing
• Driver’s license (address must match profile demographics)
• Active NY license + all RN licenses (NURSYS verification)
• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted with application

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficient in handling critical emergencies: stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure
• Comfortable with pediatric and neonatal patients
• Experience with specialized ED equipment (Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun)
• Strong documentation, critical thinking, and patient advocacy
• Willingness to float between units and work collaboratively
