Key Job Details – ER RN Locum Tenens

• Location: Tacoma, WA 98444 (with potential to float to nearby OCEDs)
• Assignment Length: 14 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 2/7/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880–$2020 per week
• Employment Type: Locum tenens, travel nursing contract
• Charting System: EPIC
• Free on-site parking

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Washington State preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room (ER) nursing experience (any trauma level)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• Strong IV, medication administration, and ventilator management skills (BiPAP/ventilator training provided)
• Ability to float between multiple OCED sites as needed
• Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
• Telemetry competency (must be completed and passed prior to start)
• Willingness to participate in charge nurse duties (training provided)
• First-time travel nurses welcome!

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients
• Manage patient ratios of 1:4 in main ED and 1:6 in fast track settings
• Provide care for trauma, cardiac, neuro, GI, respiratory, psychiatric, and walk-in cases
• Perform advanced procedures including chest tubes, central lines, and medication mixing
• Manage ventilated and intubated patients (onboarding training provided)
• Collaborate with LPNs, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float to other OCED locations as needed based on staffing requirements
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC
