Unit: Emergency Department (ED)
Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/1/2025 – End: 12/31/2025)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend (EOW)
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130
Charting System: Allscripts - Sunrise
Number of Positions: 2 ER RN travel jobs available

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Illinois or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) RN experience
Required certifications: AHA ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC or TNS, NIHSS

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a 30-bed ER (27 medical beds, 3 ED psych beds)
Efficiently manage patient flow with an average census of 120 patients per day
Collaborate with the healthcare team using a POD nursing model
Respond to trauma and stroke cases in a Level 2 accredited center
Provide compassionate care for sexual assault survivors in a full treatment center
Accurately document patient care using Allscripts - Sunrise EHR system
