Portland ER RN Job Details

• Location: Portland, OR 97222 – Oregon nursing jobs
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract (November 24, 2025 – February 23, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00), 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Emergency Department, Short Term Acute Care
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, occasional back-to-back weekends
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Parking: Free on-site
• Scrub Color: Any color (facility-provided for ED)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2010 - $2160

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
• Proficient with Epic charting system
• Skilled in triage and care for all age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adults, geriatrics
• Reliable vehicle required (travel between facilities may be necessary)
• Willingness to float to sister healthcare facilities
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years

ER RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care in a busy Emergency Department
• Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for diverse patient emergencies and diagnoses
• Administer blood products, IV vasopressors, and manage central lines
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Deliver care in trauma and non-trauma situations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: physical therapy, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and more
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic EMR
• Complete orientation and required modules prior to start and annually
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays during the assignment
