• Unit: Emergency Room (ER)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/7/2025 – End: 1/6/2026)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Total Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend & every other holiday required
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

ER RN Qualifications

• Active compact or Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS (Required); TNCC, ENCP (Preferred)
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting system
• Skills: Procedural sedation administration (required); ventilated patient care, triage, charge nurse experience (preferred)
• Two supervisor references required
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ER (average 90 visits/day)
• Administer emergency medications and blood products
• Perform procedural sedation and manage central lines
• Initiate IVs, triage patients, and care for ventilated patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, and social services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner
• Adhere to isolation precautions and hospital protocols
