• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shifts: Rotating schedule (3x12-hour shifts and 1x4-hour shift per week), clinic open Sunday-Saturday, 8 am to 8 pm
• Employment Type: W2 travel nursing job
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2050–$2200 per week

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska (required at time of application)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Proof of flu vaccine required
• Fingerprint cards required (start date at least 2 weeks after fingerprints are received)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in ambulatory care or urgent care clinic
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the healthcare facility

ER RN Responsibilities

• Perform initial triage and assessments for urgent care and emergency room patients
• Provide telephone assessments and guidance for self-care or appropriate care options
• Administer medications (oral, topical, IM, SQ, intradermal, IV push/infusion) and operate specialized medical equipment
• Initiate, monitor, and discontinue IV therapy, including mixing medications as needed
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and education in electronic health records
• Maintain a clean, safe clinical environment and ensure adequate medical supplies
• Coordinate patient referrals and track healthcare outcomes
• Serve as a primary contact for case managers and referral coordinators
• Participate in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing clinical development
• Respond to emergency situations and participate in triage and rapid response roles
• May serve as vaccine coordinator or secondary vaccine coordinator for the clinic
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support comprehensive healthcare services
