• Patient Ratios: 4:1, may increase to 5:1 during surges

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Virginia or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with GE monitors, Baxter pumps, and Zoll travel monitors
• Ability to work every other weekend

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
• Perform advanced ER procedures and demonstrate core ED competencies
• Collaborate with physicians, unit secretaries, and patient care techs for optimal outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using MediTech Expanse
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant healthcare environment
• Offer compassionate support and clear communication to patients and families
