ER RN Travel Job Details

• Location: Granger, IN 46530 (near South Bend, Indiana)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1890 - $1940
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/10/2025 – End: 2/9/2026)
• Shift: 4x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Holiday Coverage: Required for either Thanksgiving or Christmas (not both)
• Floating: Required between Emergency Room and Inpatient (Med/Surg/Tele) units
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Parking: Free onsite parking

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Indiana or compact state; pending accepted if active by start date)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, NRP, PALS, and either CPI or MAB
• TNCC certification preferred
• Experience with Cerner electronic charting required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to float between ER and inpatient units as needed

ER RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care in the Emergency Room and Inpatient (Med/Surg/Tele) units
• Perform advanced respiratory care, including Hamilton high flow, BiPAP, and ventilator management
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients across all age groups: adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Administer emergency medications, manage IVs, and perform phlebotomy procedures
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and care for ventilated patients
• Manage patient ratios up to 5:1 during night and weekend shifts
• Float to inpatient units as needed, adapting to varying patient acuity levels
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
