ER RN Job Details – Augusta, GA

• Location: Augusta, GA 30901 (Georgia healthcare jobs)
• Facility: 59-bed Emergency Department (Non-Trauma)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Assignment Duration: 14 weeks (Start: 9/29/2025 – End: 1/5/2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (07:00 - 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1460 - $1500
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Average Daily Census: 165-175 patients
• Charting System: Epic (required)
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Floating: Rare

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room Registered Nurse experience (ER RN jobs)
• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of application
• Travel nursing experience required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS (all required for ER nursing jobs)
• Proficient with Epic charting system (required)
• Ability to work every other weekend and major holidays
• Compliance with facility onboarding and orientation
• Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

ER RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Room setting
• Assess, triage, and manage patients with emergency conditions including stroke, STEMI, trauma, mental health, and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Administer emergency medications, blood products, and perform advanced procedures (central line care, chest tube management, intubation, sedation, etc.)
• Interpret arterial blood gases, dysrhythmias, and perform 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic
• Adhere to infection control, isolation precautions, and facility protocols
• Support patient and family education and communication
