Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – CVOR
• Location: Midland, MI 48640 (Michigan healthcare jobs)
• Start Date: December 8, 2025
• End Date: March 9, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts (6:00am–4:30pm or 6:30am–5:00pm)
• On Call: 1-2 nights per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1980 - $2120

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Minimum 3 years of recent Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing experience
• Open heart surgery experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Current CVOR skills checklist (within 1 year)
• 2 supervisory reference forms from the last 2 years
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from Midland, MI (Michigan travel nursing jobs)

CVOR Nurse Responsibilities

• Assess surgical patient needs and develop individualized care plans for cardiovascular procedures
• Implement, evaluate, and document patient care throughout CVOR surgeries
• Maintain patient safety and monitor the sterile field during all operating room procedures
• Provide leadership and clinical supervision to the operating room team
• Coordinate schedule changes, assemble surgical equipment and supplies, and assist anesthesia providers as needed
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the surgical healthcare team
• Participate in staff development, preceptorship, and continuing nursing education
