Operating Room RN – Cardiovascular Specialty (VOR) Location: Charleston, SC | Start Date: November 10, 2025 | Duration: 13 Weeks

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with cardiovascular expertise for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated teaching hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. This role requires advanced clinical skills in both scrubbing and circulating for high-acuity cardiac and vascular procedures.

Position Overview

• Shift: 3x12-hour days, Monday–Friday, 06:00 AM – 06:30 PM
• Call Requirement: 5–8 on-call shifts per month, including one weekend; holiday call may be required
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Charting System: Epic
• Parking: $20 registration fee for garage access; additional fees may apply outside designated areas

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience
• Must be proficient in scrubbing and circulating for complex cardiac, general OR, and vascular cases
• Case types include:
  • CABG
  • TAVR
  • LVAD
  • Impella
  • Valve repair/replacement
  • Ascending/Descending aortic procedures
  • Heart and lung transplants

Licensing and Certifications

• Active SC or multi-state RN license (must be in hand at contract start)
• BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)

Additional Information

• First-time travelers not preferred
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius may be considered at a reduced rate
• All requested time off must be submitted with application; approvals based on department needs
• Facility may cancel up to one shift per two-week pay period
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
