Registered Nurse (RN) – Case Management / Utilization Review

Location: Honesdale, PA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 5x8-Hour Day Shifts | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,490/week (including stipends)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform both case management and utilization review duties as assigned.
• Evaluate medical necessity, level of care, and appropriate use of hospital resources.
• Coordinate patient care plans and discharge processes in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Review clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness to support reimbursement.
• Identify and resolve barriers to discharge and continuity of care.
• Maintain compliance with CMS, payer, and hospital regulations.
• Document all activities accurately within the EMR system.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active RN License in Pennsylvania (or Compact State License).
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Case Management and Utilization Review.
• Strong understanding of discharge planning, insurance authorizations, and level-of-care criteria.
• Certifications Required: BLS (AHA).
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.
