Compensation

• Hourly Pay Rate: $86.49
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,090 - $2,200

Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Location: Vineland, NJ 08360 – Conveniently located in Southern New Jersey, close to local amenities and parks.
• Employment Type: Local Contract Nursing Job
• Division: Acute Care / Cardiac Stepdown / PCU
• Hours per Week: 36 (Full-Time)
• Contract Duration: 8 weeks (potential to extend)
• Shifts: Every other weekend required; 1 holiday per contract
• Floating: Willingness to float within specialty and to Elmer location as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Stepdown, PCU, or Cardiac Telemetry nursing
• Specialty experience in Cardiac PCU, Telemetry, and Cardiac care required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA only)
• Proficient in Cerner electronic charting system
• Ability to wear navy scrubs
• Strong commitment to completing all orientation and training requirements
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical skills

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Stepdown/PCU unit
• Provide specialized cardiac care, including trach care, bariatrics, nocturnal vents, and stroke care
• Manage patient ratios: 1:5 for Stepdown/PCU; 1:6 if floated to acute care
• Float within cardiac specialty and to Elmer location as required
• Participate in unit-based orientation and in-person/virtual training sessions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
