Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Location: Uniontown, Pennsylvania 15401
• Healthcare Setting: 3W - IMCU- Telemetry/Stepdown (28-bed unit)
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: October 9, 2025
• End Date: January 8, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1860 - $2000 per week
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and one winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's)
• Charting System: EPIC

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (open to candidates awaiting PA licensure)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or IMCU nursing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficient in reading and interpreting cardiac telemetry strips
• Experience titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin)
• Skilled in Bipap, Cpap, and High Flow oxygen therapies
• Valid, unexpired driver's license required for submission

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac patients, including those with dysrhythmias, CVAs, and post-ICU transfers
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; serve as central monitor station for the hospital
• Titrate cardiac drips and manage advanced oxygen therapies
• Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float to ICU as needed to provide clinical support
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Participate in a supportive, communicative team environment with flexible scheduling
