Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Location: Memphis, TN 38104 (Tennessee healthcare jobs)
• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown / Medical Surgical Overflow (5 NORTH)
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekly Hours: 36 (option for 48 hours may be discussed during interview)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 or 11/3/2025; End: 1/19/2026)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6/7
• Weekend & On-Call: As needed
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Stepdown RN experience (3+ years preferred)
• At least 1 completed previous travel nursing assignment required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (NLC guidelines apply)
• ADN or BSN accepted (BSN required only for select units)
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility
• First-time travel nurses not accepted
• Pending RN licenses not accepted

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and med surg overflow patients
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient conditions; implement appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a fast-paced, acute care environment
• Float between similar units and campuses within 20 miles as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner (preferred)
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
• Work assigned weekends and holidays as required
