Arizona Nursing Job Details

• Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / IMC / ICU Float
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Registered Nurse Contract)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); day shifts may be available
• Hours per Week: 36 (rotating weekends required)
• Unit Details: ICU (16 beds), IMC (30 beds including ICU Overflow)
• Patient Population: Adult / Geriatric
• Dress Code: Black scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• At least 1 year of recent travel nursing experience
• 1-2 years of ICU, critical care, or cardiac stepdown experience
• ACLS certification required; TNCC and PALS preferred
• Experience with mixed ICU, Cardiac/CVICU preferred
• Ability to float between ICU, ICU Overflow, and IMC (stepdown unit)
• Strong clinical skills and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital environment

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown, ICU, and IMC patients
• Monitor and assess patients with cardiovascular, neuro, and medical-surgical conditions (CABG, TAVR, STEMI, NSTEMI, stroke, trauma)
• Administer medications and manage Baxter infusion pumps and GE monitoring equipment
• Document patient care using Medhost EHR system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float as needed between ICU, ICU Overflow, and IMC units
• Participate in rotating weekend shifts as part of the nursing team
