Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Location: Hummelstown, PA 17036 (near Hershey, Pennsylvania)
• Healthcare Setting: Pediatric Cardiac Stepdown Unit (PIMCU)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1990-$2130
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00am – 7:30pm), every other weekend and holiday
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Start Date: October 7, 2025
• End Date: January 4, 2026

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Pennsylvania or compact state)
• At least 1 year of recent pediatric cardiac stepdown or progressive care nursing experience required; 3 years in Level 1 Trauma Center preferred
• Current PALS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Experience with home ventilators required
• Fingerprinting required prior to start date
• Experience with Cerner electronic charting preferred

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric cardiac stepdown and medicine overflow patients
• Float to other pediatric or children’s units as needed and provide 1:1 patient sitter support
• Monitor and manage pediatric patients requiring home ventilators
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and best nursing practices
