Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse – Fredericksburg, VA

A high-volume, high-acuity Cardiac Cath Lab in Fredericksburg, Virginia is seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join its interventional cardiology team. This unit handles complex cardiac procedures and offers a collaborative, fast-paced environment with newly renovated labs and advanced technology.

Position Overview

• Schedule: 4x10-Hour Days (07:00 AM – 5:30 PM), alternating Monday–Friday
• On-Call: Required, including weekends and holidays
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: May float to medical units and ED (for medical holds)
• Start Date: November 4, 2025
• Location: Fredericksburg, VA
• Scrubs: Provided
• Block Scheduling: At manager’s discretion
• RTO: At manager’s discretion
• Locals Accepted: Yes
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

Qualifications

• Active VA or compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac or critical care experience
• Experience in cardiac cath and/or interventional radiology preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a high-acuity setting
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Unit Details

• 3 newly renovated labs performing 12–18 cases daily
• STEMI call coverage
• Procedures include: TAVRs, Watchman, Cardiomems, Carotids, Impella, CTO, Peripherals, TEVARS/EVARS
• Equipment: Philips imaging systems, Medrad and manifold injectors
• Documentation: EPIC and XPER systems
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
