Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiac Stepdown RN to join our progressive cardiac care team. This role involves caring for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions who require close monitoring, including telemetry and titrated cardiac medications. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in the cardiac stepdown or telemetry specialty, with strong clinical judgment and a patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions
• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to changes in patient status
• Administer and titrate cardiac medications and infusions per protocol
• Perform detailed cardiovascular assessments and support early recognition of complications
• Collaborate with cardiology teams, providers, and interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with hospital standards

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Stepdown or Telemetry unit
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficient in interpreting cardiac rhythms and managing telemetry monitors
• Ability to manage multiple complex patients with a high degree of autonomy and critical thinking
