• Healthcare Setting: HVTI-Stepdown Float Pool
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract Nursing Job
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/31/2025 – End: 1/30/2026)
• Nursing Shifts: Rotating Day/Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7am-7:30pm / 7pm-7:30am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 – $2,310

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of recent Cardiac Stepdown RN experience (travel nursing experience accepted)
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license
• Current AHA BLS & ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• One supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in Cardiac Stepdown specialty
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation
• Ability to work at least every other holiday
• Background check and fingerprinting required prior to start

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in a float pool environment
• Monitor and assess cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and document patient progress accurately
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and recovery processes
• Participate in rotating shifts to meet hospital operational needs
