Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Austin, TX 78704 (Central Texas healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Intermediate Care Unit (IMC), Cardiac Stepdown
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/27/2025 – End: 1/26/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1470 - $1570

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, IMC, or progressive care unit (PCU)
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Experience with potent non-titratable drips
• Skilled in caring for respiratory patients (tracheostomies, Bipap, Airvo)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Stepdown/Intermediate Care Unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage cardiac conditions
• Administer and monitor potent non-titratable drips
• Provide respiratory care for patients with tracheostomies and on Bipap/Airvo
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Float to Telemetry and TCU Stepdown units as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
