Job Title: Registered Nurse – OB/GYN (Postpartum/Mother Baby)
Location:  Washington, DC 20037
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Night Shifts, 3x12s, AM/PM Rotation
Department: 3 North OB/GYN

Requirements:

• Licensure: Current and active RN license in DC (or compact license) – Required
• Certifications: ACLS, NRP, and BLS – Required
• Education: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved nursing program – Required
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience preferred
  • Postpartum/Mother Baby nursing experience – Required
• BSN: Highly desired

Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care to postpartum and GYN patients (including vaginal delivery and C-section recoveries).
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and response to treatments.
• Provide emotional and educational support to new mothers and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and nursing protocols.
• Participate in patient discharge planning and health education.
• Ensure compliance with facility protocols and safety standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate service excellence and commitment to patient-centered care.
