Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, BLS and ARRT certifications, and Siemens equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital setting with both ambulatory and inpatient nuclear medicine cases
• Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, 5x8s shifts
• Performs nuclear medicine, PET, theranostic procedures including planar, SPECT, and SPECT/CT imaging
• Equipment used includes Siemens systems
• Collaboration with radiologists, medical staff, and nursing partners is expected
• Duties include performing high-quality nuclear medicine and PET procedures, maintaining and performing Q.C. on imaging equipment, and adhering to all safety protocols
• Will educate and communicate with patients and families about procedures and radiation safety
• Maintains infection control, proper aseptic/sterile technique, and hazardous material safety
• Expected to observe and report changes in patient condition and communicate effectively with the care team
• Responsible for inventory, ordering radiopharmaceuticals, and transferring images to PACS
• Must comply with all established protocols, regulatory standards, and departmental policies
• Ability to provide training to new team members and students may be required
• Black scrubs required (not provided)

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Active TX license required if applicable
• BLS and ARRT certifications required
• Experience with Siemens nuclear medicine equipment is preferred
• Flu shot required with no exemptions allowed during flu season (August – November)
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Applicants must live more than 50 miles from the facility; no local travelers accepted
