Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with ARRT registration or eligibility and experience in MRI imaging for a full-time assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital radiology department performing MRI procedures
• Patient population includes both adult and pediatric patients
• Operate MRI scanners, PACS, and related imaging equipment
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Responsible for administering oral and IV contrast per established protocols
• Document and transmit images using PACS, Epic EMR, and IMPAX systems
• Responsibilities include patient identification, assessing pregnancy status, and ensuring patient safety throughout the procedure
• Interpret protocols, select appropriate scanning parameters, and troubleshoot MRI equipment issues
• Administer and monitor contrast injections following all safety guidelines
• Precept new employees and students as needed
• Maintain clean and orderly work environment
• Must report to the lab for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
• Background check and drug screening are required prior to start

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Science
• Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Must achieve advanced MRI certification within one year of employment
• Maintain ARRT registration and continuing education annually
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers required
• License required if applicable
