Location: Albany, GA 31701 (Georgia nursing jobs)
Position: Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse – Travel Nurse
Healthcare Setting: Acute Care, Med/Surg Labor Pool
Assignment Length: 17 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 3/2/2026)
Shift: 12-hour nights (0645 start time)
Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1800
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Floating: Required to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units
Charting System: MEDITECH 6.1
Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue

Med/Surg RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact state (Georgia RN jobs)
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience and 1 prior travel nurse assignment,
or 4 years of Med/Surg experience without travel
BLS certification required
ASLS or NIHSS certification required
Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
Ability to float to various clinical units as needed
Flexibility with changing assignments during shifts
Strict 75-mile radius rule applies

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care to diverse populations in the Med/Surg labor pool
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including CNAs, RTs, and pharmacy staff
Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and document care using MEDITECH
Float to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units as required
Participate in rotating holiday and weekend schedules
Adapt to changing patient assignments and unit needs throughout your shift
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
