• Unit: 8SW Neuro/Ortho Medical/Surgical
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Specialty: Med/Surg Nursing
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 12 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025, End: 12/31/2025)
• Holiday Rotation: Every other holiday
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,720 - $1,840

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Ability to pass facility onboarding: background check, drug screen, health screenings, competency testing
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for clinical support

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Neuro/Ortho Med/Surg unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations
