Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist
Location: Greensboro, NC
Duration: 26 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 5x8-Hour (09:00 AM – 05:30 PM) | Monday–Friday
 

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily workflow in the Blood Bank and Core Laboratory.
• Monitor quality control procedures, instrument maintenance, and compliance with safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance and training to laboratory personnel.
• Oversee test result validation and ensure adherence to laboratory protocols.
• Maintain inventory, supplies, and documentation required for laboratory operations.
• Collaborate with medical and administrative teams to ensure timely reporting and communication.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and process improvement activities.
• Uphold all hospital and laboratory policies related to patient care, confidentiality, and safety.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of clinical laboratory experience, including prior supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
• Current ASCP-MLS certification required.
• ASCP Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) certification strongly preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system required.
• Must hold an active state license at the time of submission.
• Experience working in hospital-based clinical and trauma-level laboratories preferred.
