Medical-Surgical and Telemetry Unit Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day Shift

Shift Details: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) including weekends and holidays. No call is required.

Job Description

Join a dynamic team on our 42-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit, caring for a diverse patient population including cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, and orthopedics. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care while collaborating with RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNA/US, and unit secretaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a typical ratio of 1 to 6.
• Administer insulin, heparin, and Lasik drips as needed.
• Assist in managing IMCU patients based on census requirements.
• Float to like acuity areas or less if necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS required; CPI required.
• Proficient in managing medical conditions outlined in the patient population.
• Education verification is required at the time of submission.
