Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring an active Ohio or Compact license and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is on a combined Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00pm-7:30am
• Telemetry monitoring and Med/Surg patient population
• Epic EMR is used on the unit and prior experience is required
• Traveler is required to work at least every other holiday
• Candidates must complete BCI/FBI fingerprinting and obtain an onsite badge prior to start date
• Onsite ECG and medication safety assessments occur during orientation
• Holiday coverage is required for assigned rotations
• Permanent or per diem staff must have a one-year gap from previous employment before returning
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• PAPRs are not an alternative for caregivers with facial hair except with approved medical or religious exemptions
• Modules must be completed prior to start and annually if contracted for a year or more
• First time travelers are eligible for this position

Requirements

• Active permanent Ohio RN license or Compact license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required and must be active
• NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained prior to start
• Epic charting experience required
• One recent supervisory reference in the specialty is required for consideration
• Candidate must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests during orientation with two attempts allowed
• No license hits or open background check cases will be accepted
