Location: 211 4th Street, Alexandria, LA 71301
Unit: 4 South (South Tower, 4th Floor)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Unit Details:

• Beds: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Support Staff:
  • 2 unit secretaries (6 AM–10 PM)
  • Patient care techs (staffing varies by census)
• Equipment:
  • Telemetry monitors
  • Dynamaps
  • Glucometers
  • iMobile phones
  • Bladder scanner
• EMR: Meditech
• Scheduling: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, holidays required
• Floating: Required to other units as needed
• Patient Experience: Hourly rounding, bedside shift report, My Care Boards, AIDET

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year acute care experience
• Skills:
  • Strong assessment and telemetry rhythm interpretation
  • PICC line and vas cath/temp cath removal
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs; must follow hospital hygiene/dress code
• Radius Rule: No candidates within 50 miles of facility
