Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position in Vermont, requiring at least three years of acute care experience and an active VT or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a general Med/Surg unit within a critical access hospital
• Provides care to primarily adult patients with occasional pediatric cases
• Responsibilities include medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, and swing bed care
• Night shift from 7pm to 7am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Work schedule includes every other weekend
• Role involves coordinating comprehensive care for a diverse patient population using the Nursing Process
• Collaborate with a supportive team including Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor
• Holistic care delivery addressing physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs
• Not a pediatric-specific floor, but occasional pediatric patients may be present
• All required credentials must be uploaded five business days prior to start
• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction specified

Requirements

• Active VT RN or multi-state compact RN license
• Minimum three years of acute care experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
• Flu vaccination is required with no exceptions
