Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Nashville, TN 37203 (Tennessee nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract
• Start Date: July 28, 2025
• End Date: October 27, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1530 - $1640
• Unit: 9 Tower Surgical (36 beds)
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Electronic Medical Record: Meditech
• Dress Code: Black, Grey, White, or Royal Blue scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Strong time management and clinical efficiency skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
• Experience in post-op surgical care (vascular, bariatric, urology, general surgery, colorectal) is a plus

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-surgical patients in a medical-surgical unit
• Monitor and maintain post-op surgical procedure sites
• Perform wound care, including packing, dressing changes, and wound vac maintenance
• Manage Foley catheters and continuous bladder irrigation
• Change and maintain ostomy appliances
• Insert and manage nasogastric tubes and suction
• Administer TPN and blood products as needed
• Perform central line care and dressing changes
• Participate in bedside shift reports and ensure open communication
• Float to other medical-surgical units as needed
• Demonstrate professionalism, prompt attendance, and a customer service-oriented attitude
