Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Hickory, NC 28601 (North Carolina healthcare job)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Unit: Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg); Orthopedic nursing experience highly preferred
• Start Date: October 19, 2025
• End Date: January 18, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Orientation: Comprehensive orientation offered twice monthly
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1630 - $1750 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs)
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting
• Experience with post-surgical and orthopedic patients is highly beneficial
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Excellent communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including post-surgical and orthopedic cases
• Monitor patient status, perform assessments, and administer medications as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care and maintain detailed medical records
