Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Unit: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) – 17/18 beds
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (19:00-07:00)

• Electronic Health Record: Cerner
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1590 - $1710

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Proficiency with Cerner EHR required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Ability to float to all areas of the healthcare facility as needed
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on the medical-surgical unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress in compliance with healthcare standards
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care instructions
• Float to other nursing units within the facility as required
