Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and BLS, ARRT(R) certification for day shifts in an adult/geriatric imaging unit.

Responsibilities

• Work in a mammography unit serving adult and geriatric patients
• Potential to float to a mobile mammography unit as needed
• Day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Uses Epic EMR system
• No weekend, night, or call requirements
• Scrub color is shocking pink
• May be assigned to cover the mobile mammography unit based on department needs
• Holiday coverage is required according to assignment dates; specific holiday participation rules apply
• A maximum of 7 days requested time off is allowed per assignment, and cannot be taken during the first week
• Modules and orientation are required and completed during non-billable hours
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
• Permanent or PRN staff must have a 1-year break from all Piedmont facilities before returning as a traveler
• Travel pairs are not scheduled for the same shift on the same unit
• Work assignments are subject to a clinical screen for clinical fit

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of mammography experience required
• Current BLS and ARRT(R) certifications required
• GA or Compact license in hand at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• Two supervisory references preferred for consideration
• Ability to work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Must submit core documentation and schedule labs within 48 hours of contract signing to ensure on-time start
