Requirements:

1 year of experience as an LPN
Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 year of experience in Long-Term Care
Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license
Be willing to obtain Georgia or compact licensure

Responsibilities

As a healthcare professional in a Long-Term Care facility, you’ll play a critical role in serving a unique and often underserved patient population. Your care will directly impact patient safety, wellness, and rehabilitation. A few of the responsibilities include:
- Provides basic care and treatments, such as dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas, douches, alcohol rubs, and massages, or performing catheterizations.
- Answers individuals’ calls and determines how to assist them.
- Observes individuals, charting and reporting changes in individuals’ conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action.
- Measures and records individuals’ vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
- Administers prescribed medications or starts intravenous fluids and notes times and amounts on individuals’ charts.
