Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: North Chesterfield, VA 23235 (Richmond area nursing jobs)
• Unit: Maternal Infant Unit (3rd Floor, Atrium Building)
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 15, 2025
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend/On Call: Every third weekend; 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs; MIU nurses wear pink badges for infant security
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570–$1680 per week

L&D Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Virginia or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (2+ years preferred)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
• Experience with GE fetal monitors and EMR systems (Meditech, CPN) preferred

L&D RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring and antepartum patients, as well as newborns
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-section procedures
• Provide post-partum and newborn care in a clinical setting
• Collaborate with labor nurses, nursery nurses, OB techs, and unit leadership to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to infant security protocols
• Accurately document patient care using electronic medical records (EMR)
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage as required
