Travel Nursing Job Details

Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Travel Assignment
Location: Georgetown, TX 78626 (Texas nursing jobs near Austin)
Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – LDRP Unit (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Special Care Nursery)
Duration: 8 weeks (October 15, 2025 – December 10, 2025)
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Estimated Weekly Pay: $2310 - $2470 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unencumbered RN license (Texas or compact state)
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery or Postpartum nursing experience
Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM certifications required
Preferred: LDRP experience (mother/baby, postpartum, OR circulator, well-baby nursery, NICU, or special care nursery)
Strong clinical skills, positive attitude, and team-oriented approach
Navy blue scrubs required (stork embroidery not necessary for travelers)

L&D RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns in a busy LDRP unit
Monitor and manage labor, including cervical ripening, induction, and care for high-risk maternal patients
Assist with C-sections, tubal ligations, and provide compassionate care for fetal demise patients
Provide mother-baby couplet care and support infants in the Special Care Nursery
Operate advanced clinical equipment: Alaris Pumps, Giraffe Warmers, GE Fetal Monitors, Monica wireless monitoring, and EMR systems (GE Centricity/CPN & Meditech)
Maintain a collaborative, positive work environment and adhere to all unit policies and healthcare guidelines
