Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – Labor & Delivery RN
• Location: Carlsbad, NM 88220 (New Mexico nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: September 8, 2025 – End: December 8, 2025)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30pm – 7:00am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Electronic Medical Record Systems: MedHost (inpatient), GE Centricity (OB), Athena (Clinic)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1860 - $2200
• Hourly Pay Rate: $95/hr

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal phases
• Apply the nursing process in accordance with New Mexico Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrate scientific judgment and ensure safe delivery of patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training
• Delegate patient care priorities and supervise assigned healthcare personnel
• Provide care for antepartum triage, active labor, postpartum (mom and baby), and special care nursery infants
