Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a CO or compact RN license, with at least 2 years of L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit with 6 LDR rooms, 10 postpartum rooms (2 convertible to LDR), 2 ORs, an OBED, and 6 SCN beds
• Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, Cesarean deliveries by OBs and CNMs, and SCN up to 34 weeks gestation
• Care delivery includes high-risk mothers on magnesium sulfate and preterm labor cases
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (7:00-19:00), working all days of the week
• Required to work every 3rd weekend
• Occasional call is required, approximately 1-3 shifts per 6 weeks
• Floating to other OB units may be required
• Epic is used for charting
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Green scrubs are required
• Teamwork, evidence-based practice, family-centered care, and a supportive work environment are emphasized
• Care for higher acuity and preterm OB cases is required
• Holiday coverage will be required as RTO is restricted during specified peak periods
• No blocked scheduling requests are allowed
• Required modules are completed pre-start and during the first day of orientation

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years recent Labor and Delivery experience required
• Certifications required: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, and C-EFM
• Previous employment with UCHealth or its affiliates within the last two years is not permitted
• Highly encouraged to have C-EFM certification
