Unit Type: Labor and Delivery

Number of Beds: 8 (6 LDRP, 2 Triage)

Number of Staff: 25

Patient Ratios:

• 1:1 Labor/Induction
• 4 (up to 6):1 Postpartum

Staffing Information

Day Shift: 3-4 RNs (1 CNC/CN, 2-3 RNs)

Night Shift: 3 RNs (1 CNC/CN, 2 RNs)

Required Skills and Qualifications

Must Have:

• Labor and Delivery experience
• Postpartum Couplet Care skills

Preferred:

• Experience with Labor Management
• Induction of Labor
• Spontaneous Vaginal Delivery
• Vacuum Assisted Vaginal Deliveries
• Cesarean Sections
• Manual External Version

Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP

Additional Responsibilities

Floating Areas: Acute Care & ED (tasks only)

Dress Code: Surgical scrubs required

Schedule

Weekends: Every other weekend required
