Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Neuro IR Tech with documented Neuro IR experience and ARRT certification for a stroke team role on 10-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a medical imaging radiology department with 2 cath labs and 2 hybrid peripheral/OR rooms
• Position is focused on Neuro Interventional Radiology as part of the Stroke Team
• 10-hour day shifts with schedule of 07:00-15:30 when not on call and 07:30-16:00 when on call
• On-call requirement is one week on, two weeks off; weekend and holiday rotation discussed during interview
• No floating required
• Unit uses Epic EMR (required), Epic Cupid (preferred), Alaris, and Omnicell
• Orientation includes 5 days of 8-hour shifts
• Travelers must live at least 100 miles from the facility
• Duties include circulating for Neuro IR procedures and supporting the stroke team
• Team includes Monday through Friday charge nurse support (6:00-16:30)
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Scrubs are procedural and provided
• Free parking is available
• Holiday and weekend expectations will be discussed during the interview
• Permanent staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler

Requirements

• Current ARRT certification required; Vascular Interventional (VI) credential preferred
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Neuro IR experience is required; IR-only experience will not be considered
• Experience with sterile/scrub technique, Siemens Neuro IR equipment, and Epic EMR
• Stroke team experience required
• ICU experience required
• License required if applicable
